Brahms’ Serenade

DCWS goes romantic with a performance centered around Brahms’ Serenade No. 1 in D for winds and strings in its original nonet version, a great example of the ripening genius of the composer in his youth. The concert will also feature Britten’s Phantasy Quartet, Op. 2 for oboe and strings with oboist Alex Kinmonth.
