Thaddeus Archer

Thaddeus Archer is the Associate Principal / 3rd Trumpet of the Toledo Symphony. Originally from Berkeley, California, he came to Indiana in 2001 to pursue higher music education from Indiana University where he received a Master in Music degree with Honors and Performer Diploma. Archer was an Associate Instructor of Trumpet at IU, and he was the winner of the School of Music’s 2003 and 2005 Brass Concerto Competition.

Archer has had the privilege to travel around the world for leading Summer Music Festivals. He has spent summers living and performing in Colorado, California, Germany and Austria. In addition to summer festivals, Archer has performed with several area orchestras, including the Columbus Indiana Philharmonic, Owensboro Symphony, Richmond Symphony, and the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra.
