Volunteer of the Year

Mary Jarman

Mary Jarman joined the DCWS Board in 2007, bringing her intelligent and kind-hearted touch to many aspects of the organization. The principal of MJ Marketing, a market research firm, Mary has donated countless hours helping DCWS undertand its audience and use its precious resources wisely.
A native of Goshen, Indiana, She received a business degree from Purdue University and an MBA from Wayne State. Prior to forming MJ Marketing in 1990, she did market research for General Motors, where at various times she worked with fellow DCWS Trustees, Thomas Hitchman and Lynn Myers.
From leading focus groups, to hosting DCWS events and meetings in her home, to serving on our Marketing Committee and Gala Committee, Mary’s generosity and dedication to Detroit Chamber Winds & Strings has been critical to our success. Thank you, Mary!
